Summer Essentials

Happy Saturday! Even though summer hasn't officially started, I've been on break for about a week and have already gathered some of my go-to summer products. Hope you enjoy!

 My first go-to product so far this summer has been the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hr blush in "treasured." I started using this blush about a month ago and I am obsessed! The formula is so pigmented that you barely have to touch your brush to the surface to get that gorgeous glow. During summer I like to keep my makeup light and simple, and this blush brings my whole look together.

On the style side of things, I have a feeling statement necklaces are going to be making quite a few appearances this summer. Day-to-day I like wearing simple outfits that can easily be dressed up by throwing on a statement necklace or bracelet. My favorite necklace right now is a recent purchase from J.Crew.

When summer comes around, I find myself swapping out bulky purses for wristlets. The one I'm currently using and loving is from the brand Spartina.

Since summer is (un)officially here I have been in the process of revamping my everyday makeup routine. Unless I have something going on, I usually like to keep my day-to-day look pretty simple. My staple eyeshadow so far this summer has been All That Glitters by MAC Cosmetics.

My final summer essential is my Fuji Film Polaroid camera. This camera is perfect for anyone who loves photography and instant gratification!I love using this camera when I'm chilling with my friends to capture all of our summer memories.

Favorite Summer Recipes

While I am always down for coffee and cookies, or a big bowl of ice cream, eating healthy is one of my biggest passions in life. Since summer is upon us, I thought it was a perfect time to share some of my favorite recipes with you guys. Summer is probably my favorite season when it comes to food, because along with the good weather and sunny skies comes fresh and local produce! Hope you enjoy the recipes! Green Orange Julius: This smoothie is hands down the best green smoothie recipe I have ever tried! It's super simple to make and equally delicious. The best part about this smoothie is that even though it's green and good for you, you don't feel like you're drinking a smoothie with spinach! I basically follow the recipe linked here  with the exception that I use almond milk instead of dairy milk, and sometimes I use whole oranges instead of juice if we happen to have them!
