Blueberry Picking
Yesterday was one of the nicest mornings that we have had in a while, so my mom and I decided to head out to a local organic blueberry farm and do some picking! Blueberry picking is one of my favorite things to do during the summertime, and it manages to always make it on to my summer bucket list. This year the trees were loaded so it's no wonder that we ended up taking home 6 pounds of berries!
I've always had a blueberry addiction, even when I was little. I used to grab a bag of frozen blueberries from the freezer and just sit and eat them with a spoon! A classic recipe that I have made the past couple of years with the fresh berries is blueberry cobbler. The recipe I use is from Cook's Illustrated and it is seriously the easiest recipe ever to make...which is kinda dangerous! And of course there is only one way to eat blueberry cobbler, with a big dollop of vanilla ice cream on the side! Seriously, it's delicious.
What are your favorite ways to eat blueberries?
XOXO, Emily
Looks delicious. My favorite way to eat blueberries is straight off the bush :)
